This is just a reminder that Retirees who worked at Mayoral agencies in NYC and others do not want the AETNA MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLAN.
We understand that the plan to force us into it is dormant, but we would like this issue to be settled.
An appeal on the judges' recent decision by the City of New York would be interpreted as a hostile attack on our group.
Please see the NYC CITY COUNCIL BILL INT-1099

**Thanks to those of you who are in favor of this bill, and who support us**
Kindly Note the following: The option to switch to HIP will Not Work for those of us Who Live Outside the city or the Designated Counties ( we live outside the city legally and not in violation of any employment contracts, due to Retirement.) We are, of course, Stakeholders in the current system, and remain so. Otherwise would not be writing to public servants in a jurisdiction in which we do not currently reside. The option to waive the city benefits will not work either. Drug coverage and medicare part D reimbursement are a part of the current plan which we want to retain, and are entitled to, based on the city's pledges.
We continue to ask for the sane 3rd option, to retain our traditional medicare,as we have it now.
Yours Truly

** Kindly note that the U.F.T. Does Not represent the NYC Municipal Retirees, and neither does the Municipal Labor Council.**
